Hair and Body Pack

We were inspired to create our hair and body pack first by the incredibly beautiful, smooth, supple skin and soft, silky hair of tropical men and women.

People who live in the tropics regularly use coconut oil as both a skin lotion and a hair conditioner because it helps protect skin and hair from the sun and wind, absorbs quickly and does not leave the skin or hair feeling sticky. They also use it for its healing properties: it has been proven to be safe and effective not only in healing mild burns and many common skin conditions, such as rough, dry, scaly or itchy skin, but also in improving dry or damaged hair.

We were also inspired to create this revitalizing pack by the idea that this is something you – our customer – can do for yourself. Most of us can’t go to a spa for a full-body massage every day, or even every week or every month. But until now, a high-end spa was the only place you could find a product of this type and this quality.

What could be better?
DME™ extra-virgin coconut oil
The principal ingredient in our hair and body pack is direct micro-expelling (DME™)
extra-virgin coconut oil.

Certified organic. The oil is made from mature, ripe, organically grown coconuts, and is produced without artificial fertilizers, pesticides or other chemicals and additives.

Cold pressed. The oil is extracted from the coconuts using a hand-operated press. This takes more time than other processes using heat or chemicals, but ensures that none of the coconut’s original nutrients are lost.

Extra virgin. The oil is extracted within one hour of opening the coconut, which means it’s extra fresh and extra pure.

Fairly traded. The oil is produced by small groups of villagers located right where the coconuts grow, who receive fair market value for their product.

Available in limited quantities only. Because there are limits to how much oil can be produced in this way, only a select few companies have assured access to DME™ extra-virgin coconut oil. We are one of them.

Directions
For your hair, massage a small amount (about the size of a twoonie) into your scalp at least 15 minutes before you wash your hair, or use it at night before bed for a truly deep treatment. Great for strengthening and repairing colour-treated, damaged or dry hair. Can be used daily or as a weekly deep conditioner.

For your skin, massage another twoonie-sized amount all over your body after your shower or bath to experience an overall, healthy glow that will last all day. Can be used daily – and even as a hand moisturizer or lip balm.
